Ottawa notes
Why not just do a dump run?
You can, and for a few bags it makes sense. For anything bigger, Ottawa landfill rules add up fast: the Trail Road landfill has charged per tonne with a minimum fee, and since July 1, 2025 it no longer accepts commercial garbage at all.
Heavy materials such as tile, plaster, concrete and shingles weigh far more than they look. We quote those by weight instead of by truck space so the price is fair.
We sort loads so metal, appliances and clean concrete go to recycling, and donate usable items when you ask us to.

Asbestos & permits
We don’t touch asbestos. That’s the point.
Some demolition companies will tell you they do it all. We do the demolition, and we make sure the steps before it happen in the right order, by the right people: survey first, licensed abatement, then us.
Read the asbestos and permit FAQ- Built before 1990? Ontario law puts the onus on the owner to identify designated substances before a contract is signed. That means a designated-substances survey.
- Survey finds asbestos? A licensed abatement contractor removes it, and you get a clearance letter.
- Utilities and permit. Gas, hydro, water and sewer disconnected where needed. Enbridge alone takes about 44 days, so it gets requested first.
- Then we demolish. No change orders for surprise asbestos, no stop-work orders, no crew exposed.
FAQ
Junk Removal: common questions
How do you price junk removal?
By how much space your items take in the truck, with heavy materials like concrete, tile, plaster and shingles priced by weight. Text us photos and we send a price, then confirm it on site before loading.
Do I have to carry things outside?
No. We carry everything from wherever it sits: basement, upstairs, garage or back yard.
Do you take hot tubs?
Yes. Have an electrician disconnect the power, drain it if you can, and we cut it up and haul it away, usually in a couple of hours.
What won’t you take?
Hazardous waste like paint, propane, fuel, oil and chemicals, anything suspected to contain asbestos, medical waste and ammunition. We can tell you where to take those.
Can you donate usable items?
Yes. Tell us before we load and we set aside usable furniture and household goods for donation and recycling instead of disposal.
Do you do construction debris cleanup for contractors?
Yes. One-off loads or recurring pickups on active job sites. See the Contractors page for terms.
